PAULOWNIA TREE PROJECT

NEED Capital is in collaboration with The African Paulownia Silviculture & Environmental Conservation Institute (APSEC Ins.), a Non-Profit Organization, as a funding partner to develop the Paulownia tree Planting Project in Ghana which is an intervention at correcting Global Environmental Degradation brought about by forest depletion seen by many as one of the gravest threats to man very existence today.

Excerpts from the published Global Forest Resources Assessment 2015 (FRA 2015) assert that:

“…. From 2010 to 2015, Tropical forest area declined at a rate of 5.5 Million Ha per year. Forest area expanded  North America, the Caribbean, East Asia, and Western-Central Asia, but declined in Central America, South America, South and Southeast Asia and all three regions in Africa.1 (Emphasis of APSEC Ins)

Planted Forests are at the heart of the NEEDED solution to reverse that steady Global glide to Environmental disaster.

Paulownia provides a Universal solution to all of Africa.

APSEC Ins has researched far and wide and has unearthed a particular tree-crop that is making huge financial profits to investors in the USA, Australia, New Zealand and raising hopes even the mainly desert country of Lebanon.3 It is the Paulownia a Hardwood timber tree, Paulownia is nonetheless light… about 60% by weight of the same volume of Oak. This project will require an initial US$10 Million funding commitment, and  US$62 Million input over a 5 year period.
